YouTube Chapters Privacy Policy

YouTube Chapters generates proposed chapters for YouTube videos. This policy describes the extension, generation requests, and related license flows.

It does not describe Zeler AI's general corporate processing and does not replace the notices of YouTube, Chrome, Stripe, or any AI provider.

When you request chapter generation, the extension may access the selected YouTube video in the active tab: its URL, title, and identifier. It may also read captions or transcripts available for that video.

Transcript content may include information contained in the video. Do not submit sensitive content or third-party information unless you are authorized to do so.

A request may include the video URL, timestamped transcript segments, output language, style, chapter count, glossary, extension version, and a randomly generated installation identifier.

The extension also uses a license token to authenticate generation requests.

When you request generation, the required data is sent over HTTPS to Zeler's backend hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to process the request and return proposed chapters.

A third-party AI service provider may process submitted transcript content to generate titles and timestamps. This policy does not identify a provider, model, region, or unconfirmed training or retention terms.

The extension stores settings, glossary, working URL, license token, installation identifier, and workflow state locally in Chrome. You can clear local data using browser or extension controls when available.

During processing, a temporary transcript is held in session storage and cleared when the flow completes, fails, or expires. This local cleanup does not establish what happens to remote copies.

We do not have sufficient public information about remote logs, storage, backups, retention periods, or deletion by the backend, GCP, or the AI provider. Accordingly, this policy does not state that no logs exist, that no information is stored, or that deletion occurs within a stated period.

If specific practices are confirmed in the future, we will update this policy to describe them accurately.

The license token is stored locally in Chrome and sent to authenticate generation. You can remove it from the extension's local storage.

If you request license recovery, you provide an email address to Zeler's backend. The flow response is generic so it does not publicly confirm whether a license exists. We do not describe unconfirmed remote delivery, retention, or deletion practices for those emails.

Stripe hosts Checkout and the license billing portal. Payment or billing information entered in those experiences is processed by Stripe under its own policy.

Zeler remains responsible for processing it performs with data it receives or uses to operate the license. This policy does not state that Zeler receives no billing or administrative records.

The extension declares permissions to run YouTube Chapters functions:

• activeTab and tabs: identify the selected YouTube video in the active tab.
• scripting: obtain an available transcript from the page context when needed.
• storage: retain settings, license, installation identifier, and local workflow state.
• alarms: manage expiry and cleanup of temporary flows.
• YouTube and backend host permissions: access the selected video and send the generation request.

Generation requests are sent to the configured backend over HTTPS. No transmission or storage system is completely secure.

We do not make claims about additional security controls, certifications, encryption at rest, incident response, or infrastructure practices that have not been confirmed.

You can clear the extension's local data through Chrome. This is not the same as requesting deletion of information processed remotely.

To request access, correction, cancellation, objection, deletion, or withdrawal of consent, email privacidad@zeler.ai. Include your name, a way to respond, reasonable information to verify your identity, a clear description of your request, and details that help locate the information. Zeler AI will assess the request under applicable law and relevant technical, legal, or provider limits.

Zeler operates the extension and its generation backend. YouTube provides the video and caption services; Stripe operates its hosted payment experiences; and the third-party AI provider processes submitted content for generation.

Each service operates under its own terms and policies. Zeler is responsible for its own processing; this division does not limit rights you may have under applicable law.
